General Rulings
- There can only ever be 1 face-up Field Spell Card on the field.
- If another one resolves, the first one is destroyed.
- If there is already a face-up Field Spell, and the other player activates one, and "Mystical Space Typhoon" is chained on the new Field Spell, the first one remains on the field. This is because the new Field Spell never resolved properly.
Geartown
If you control "Geartown":
- You activate another Field Spell:
Geartown is destroyed, but its effect misses its Timing. - Your opponent activates a Field Spell:
Geartown is destroyed, and its effect does not miss its timing. - You Set a new Field Spell:
Geartown is destroyed, and its effect does not miss its timing. - Your opponent Sets a new Field Spell:
Geartown is not destroyed (there is still only 1 face-up Field Spell).
Earthbound Immortals
If you control an "Earthbound Immoral" monster:
- If you control a Field Spell, and you activate a new one:
Your Immortal is destroyed, since there was a period where there were 0 Field Spells on the field. - If one player controls a Field Spell, and the other player activates a new one:
Your Immortal is not destroyed, since the old Field Spell is only destroyed when the new one has finished resolving.
