You can't chain certain things after discarding.
Say you have 7 cards in hand. In the End Phase, you discard your "The White Stone of Legend". Its mandatory effect to search will activate, but only certain things can be chained to it:
- Something that would negate activations or effects of a card(s).
- Counter Trap Cards
- Mandatory Effects
Furthermore, if you discarded something with an optional trigger effect instead of White Stone (eg "Peten the Dark Clown"), that effect can“t activate.
