● This effect will still activate (it is a mandatory effect), but nothing will be excavated.
● The effect of "Royal Oppression" can still be chained.
Vs "Dark Simorgh":
● This effect will still activate.
● If "Dark Simorgh" was shuffled into the Deck, monsters can still be Special Summoned.
● If "Dark Simorgh" was not shuffled into the Deck, all excavated cards are sent to the GY.
Vs "Rilvalry of Warlords"/"Gozen Match"
● This effect will resolve as normal, as the monsters are Summoned face-down.
